3 Years Old?
I just found out that you can't enroll a child into preschool until they are 3 years old. Sigh. Can you tell I've had a rough week? This parenting two kids under the age of 2 is hard work! The thing is when it was just Julia, Dave would take her for a few hours on the weekend so I could get a break for a bit. But with Maya, we just can't do that yet. I'm not sure when the 'proper' time is but reading a fellow adoptive parent's blog, it seems as though her adoption therapist told her & her husband at 2 months to begin to leave their daughter for a few hours at a time while they got away. The 2 month mark doesn't seem so far away. 4 weeks from Monday but who's counting. Dave's hoping I last that long without having to be committed! ;)

You can't do preschool but you can do a couple of mornings a week (or more) in some childcare. Local churches offer those programs, I looked into for Maeli and it costs about $120 a months for 2 mornings a week which is not too bad.

Sounds like Dave is making progress and little Maya is coming around. Hopefully you can get out with out the kids soon. I feel your pain! ;)
Maybe grandma can help. What do you think about that?
Love ya,
Grandma James:)
Oh take Gramma James up on the offer! Hopefully things are coming around for you guys. Love the picture of Maya and daddy, that's very encouraging. Does Maya have to be 3 or can she be 2.9 to go to school? I guess that doesn't make too much of a difference right now!! TC7
